The simple solution is to use a sanding stone or rubbing stone. A rectified edge means the edges of the tile have been cut to ensure every tile is the same exact size no calibers. Before using any tool to cut tile measure the glazed side of the tile to determine where you need to make the cut.

Push the tile into the blade along the shallow cut you made before for about 1 or 2 inches then back the tile out and turn off the saw. Firmly press the edge of the glass cutter or carbide pencil along the line using a carpenter square as a guide.
